I know your confidence has been stripped away because a coward claimed he loved you…
I see you, standing there. Shell-shocked, disbelieving, and blaming yourself.
I'm rooting for you. I'm working for you and there is much work to be done.
It's so easy to become bitter, angry, cold.
And it’s easy to blame or categorize other men for the pain you endured...but blaming them only continues to hurt you.
I'm here to help you learn how to forgive, to build strength, and to see the blessing in the betrayal.
I know that YOU ARE MAGNIFICENT!
I know that YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!
I know that YOU ARE LOVED!
… and you should believe this too.
So, how do you get there?
You need to do the work to rebuild the confidence someone took it upon themself to strip from you.
Confidence doesn't come from another person! No one can come along and make it all better for you – believing this is possible isn’t fair to either of you, because pain has a funny way of resurfacing when you least expect it.
It's not easy.
It's not always fun.
It's necessary though.
Where to begin, you ask? Start by acknowledging you are worthy of more: You deserve to be happy! You deserve to be adored! You deserve to have as much affection and attention as your heart can hold.
I know… I've done the work.
I continue to work on myself daily. I'm not the first person to be cheated on and I'm not the last! But I refuse to let the hurtful actions of another deprive me of true love and trust with someone new.
True strength is displayed when you no longer blame anyone for your pain or expect anyone else to fix it.
You are in control of this moment and every other moment forward.
Let it go. Let it be. Let God love you.
You'll soon discover, the pain was never yours to carry.
Strength is Beautiful.
